Hotel Upper Diagonal

My room was clean. It's really spacious, but the basin in toilet is unnecessarily large. There was no paper tissue, toilet brush, and no complementary lotion. The water pressure in the shower is also very low. The breakfast is not buffee which is odd and you should choose from three full breakfast options or start ordering items one by one. The breakfast is also from 7 which could be quite late depending on when you need to be somewhere after that.

The hotel is around 10 minutes' walk from the metro station, and it's in a relatively quiet area (as long as the constructions aren't happening). Modern and decent sized rooms. Dark themed. The only issue is that things are getting a bit worn out, especially the bathroom : rusting on the mirror, black mould on the shower, etc. Toothbrush, slippers, and cotton pads can be requested from reception. Luggage storage is available before and after checkout. No conditioner or body cream. Rooms aren't completely soundproof as I heard a lot of noise throughout my stay from all directions (closing wadrobes /toilets / outside closing the door, etc). 2 bottles of water were provided for free when you arrive in your room, but they dont restock these for you. They have 2 in the fridge, but you need to pay for those. What was weird and confusing was the tea and coffee. In all the hotels I've stayed at, the tea and coffee next to the kettle is usually free but at this hotel, they also had a pricing list right next to it with a price for tea and coffee so Im not sure if you had to pay or not. 1 thing I really liked was the slippers! they didn't put any in the room, so you have to call reception, but they are super comfy compared to most hotels. It might take them a while. the first time I called, they asked me to go down to reception to collect them but then said they didn't have any and would bring them to my room but never did. notes: no usb charger next to the beds, so remember to bring a travel adaptor.
